Thousands of GE Employees Could be at Risk of ID Theft

   There is news this morning that thousands of current and former GE employees
   could be at risk for identity theft.

   A company employee's laptop computer was recently stolen from his locked
   hotel room while he was traveling on business.

   The laptop contained names and social security numbers for about 50-thousand
   GE employees across the country.

   A GE spokesman tells NEWS10 that there is no reason to believe that any data
   is being used criminally, but he says all employees are being offered a one
   year subscription to a credit monitoring service.
