Since its founding in 1869, the American Museum of Natural History has been dedicated to a joint mission of science and public education. AMNH continues to provide a unique platform for communicating the results of current research to the public. The Museum’s audience is one of the largest and most diverse of any museum in the country. Each year nearly four million people visit onsite, about half of them children.
